I'd been using the embeded Windows PowerShell ISE in the past several days. But it's not that convenient. Then I found PowerGUI. And it's really great!

However, I doesn't find any button to clear the output pane like the Windows PowerShell ISE has(pls see attachment). So I need to type cls to clear the output.

I wish I could just click a button to clear the output during my debug work(Sorry for my laze). So I suggest adding a button to clear the output pane on the toolbar.

Hi,

PowerGUI has an official SDK that allows users to extend Script Editor functionality via Add-ons. You're lucky , Kirk Munro has created an add-on you need.

Simply click Tools -> Find Add-ons Online menu item.. Type Clear in the text box, click Search button, select the add-on and click Install... button.  You will get a new menu item inside 'View' top level menu. You may then customize the menu/toolbars (Tool->Customize...) and put the item where you want it to see.

Got it. It's helpful. thx!

Another problem, I cannot stick it on the toolbar. When I drag it onto the toolbar, it can work well. But when I reopen the script editor, it's missing.
Well, it doesn't matter anyway, since I can use Ctrl + R instead.

Good to know..

As for the toolbar customization issue. Yes, we're aware of it and it was fixed in the upcoming PowerGUI 3.0. You may try PowerGUI Pro 3.0 beta (http://www.powergui.org/entry.jspa?externalID=3523&categoryID=299) to check whether the issue is fixed :)
